BeKyoot creates adorable and quirky characters with a collection of merchandise that is icing-on-a-cupcake-sweet, and Hapi Paper is the kyootest roll of toliet paper you'll ever meet.
We promise they will make you smile.

ACEN!!!!!!!!!!
Here are the details straight from its website:
"Anime Central (ACen) is the Midwest Anime, Manga, and Asian Culture Convention. ACen is sponsored by the Midwest Animation Promotion Society (MAPS), and over more than a decade has grown into one of the largest fan-run conventions of its type in the country. ACen is known for providing a fun, exciting environment for fans of all ages.
ACen will convene for its 12th annual event on May 8-10, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare and the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois — just a few minutes from O’Hare International Airport, and 30 minutes from the heart of downtown Chicago.
As part of its mission, ACen brings fans together with guests from the Japanese and US sectors of the anime and manga industry, as well as gaming, cinema, and Asian culture personalities. The event includes a huge exhibit hall, a massive video game room, concerts, dances, educational panels and workshops, premiere screenings, autograph sessions, 24-hour video rooms, tabletop gaming and much, much more! Attendees can attend a dance with 5,000 of their favorite friends and cheer while amazing DJs spin, enjoy an incredible concert, or visit the largest artist’s alley found in any US anime convention."

The Chicago Zombie Pub Crawl was jam packed with undead amazing-ness. (Yes, it was so great that my grammar had to suffer to properly explain the emotions.)
Check back soon for the interviews, pictures, and videos of zombies screaming "BRAIINNSSS!!!" at unsuspecting pedestrians. If you couldn't make it this year, you NEED to come next year. At 550 zombies strong, it was the largest gathering of nerds outside of a sci-fi convention.
What's super awesome are our new team members! Welcome Mikie, Rina, and Joel! Want to meet all of us? Look out for TheChicagoNerd.com team bios!
Also, we have our next place of the week planned! Once we have the coverage of the pub crawl posted, we'll let you know what it is ^_^ Here's a hint, when you see our outfits, you'll be thinking, "Kawai desu ne?!"

is in the works, but I can't reveal anything yet because it is not yet confirmed.
However, if all goes well, you're either going to want to:
a. wear a helmet, or
b. acquire a taste for gray matter.
Happy guessing ;) Check back soon for an official announcement!
