Samsung Drops Lawsuit Against Apple: Report

Competition in the smart phone industry has increased so much with the leading companies releasing high technology handsets that are aimed to outdo the other competitors. However, whoever can take the rights of the smart phone technology is not really clear despite Apple Inc being the first mobile phone company to enter the smart phone market with the iPad and the iPhone. However other competitors followed suit particularly Samsung Electronics Co and released new products as well. At some point Apple had sued Samsung Electronics Co saying that the company copied the same technology of Apple’s iPad and iPhone to develop its Galaxy Line of products. Later on Samsung Electronics Co made a counter suit in April to counter the legal suit made by Apple Inc.
According to a Bloomberg report, Samsung that had filed the suit against Apple Inc claiming that it had been copying its innovations has been dropped. Samsung decided to drop the case against Apple Inc just recently but none of the two companies’ spokespersons have made any comments about the issue. Apple and Samsung are just two of a part of a wide web of litigation among companies making smart phones over who really has the rights over the patents used in making the smart phones and tablets.
